We were all stunned that this could happen. My three year old daughter and I used to walk that very trail to go to the store.... Our community was bustling and thriving, everyone worked hard and schools were full of children. The effects have been devastating. Businesses have closed, our schools have consolidated, for a time we had no grocery store, we are dependent upon the tourism industry and that isn't stable if the economy falters. Our loggers were the stewards of the forests taking care to ensure regrowth and health for the future. That care would have have ensured future employment for the local people, revenue's for businesses . I can cite two areas where environmentalists almost caused a major disaster with their ideas. BWCA. With all the downed, dead wood a lightening strike caused a fire that took out a business and homes. Cooper Landing Alaska. The whole Kenai Peninsula was close to burning to the ground. Leave the environment to the people to know it.

My criminal record shows I've never been accused, charged or convicted of ANY type of sex crime -ever! I believe my uncle is guilty of these crimes but I also believe he didn't act for the benefit of his gang I believe he acted due to drug use and the combination of being on methadone. He has never been in any real trouble all his life. His sentence was very harsh on us. This is a sentence you should give a murderer, rapist, sex offender. Not a recovering drug addict. I see alot of holes in this case but my voice is so little to do anything about it. Maybe if they could see that he did not do this to benifit the mongols but was just in a drug cloud of haze then maybe they could drop the gang enhancement and he could come home before he turns 60.
