OPINION

HALL, J.

{¶ 1} Charles Powell, defendant, appeals from his misdemeanor conviction for obstructing official business, R.C. 2921.31. He argues that the municipal court should have dismissed the charge because the statute of limitations for it had expired. We disagree.
