GRIFFIN, Circuit Judge.

Plaintiff Walter Jones, a pro se Michigan prisoner, appeals the district court's grant of summary judgment in favor of defendants in this 42 U.S.C. § 1983 civil rights action. Jones also requests that this court appoint him counsel to represent him on appeal.
