OPINION

Waylon Chaz Standmire was convicted of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon. TEX. PENAL CODE ANN. § 22.02(a)(2) (West 2011). Standmire approached a fellow inmate in the Ellis County Jail who was sleeping and sliced the inmate's face with an object. Standmire was sentenced to 15 years in prison....
