After a bench trial, Defendant, Brian Keith Thomas, was found guilty of attempted second degree murder. He was sentenced to imprisonment for forty years, at hard labor, without benefit of parole, probation, or suspension of sentence. He has perfected this appeal wherein he alleges insufficient evidence to sustain a verdict of attempted second degree murder and that the sentence is excessive under the circumstances of the case.
