Marilyn Mulero was charged in Illinois with four counts of murder, two counts of conspiracy to commit murder, and one count of unlawful use of a firearm by a felon. She entered a blind plea of guilty and the counts were then merged, resulting in a state trial court entering judgment against Mulero on two counts of intentional murder. Mulero was eventually sentenced to life imprisonment—the mandatory minimum sentence for a double homicide...
