The Alfred E. Mann Foundation for Scientific Research ("AMF") is a research organization interested in developing new medical technologies, including cochlear implants. Cochlear Corporation and Cochlear Ltd. (collectively, "Cochlear") are companies that build cochlear implants for use in human patients.
