T.D.M. was convicted of one count of sexual abuse in the first degree and one count of sodomy in the first degree. The record shows that at the end of T.D.M.'s trial on August 16, 2007, the jury first returned verdicts of guilty on the sexual-abuse charge and not guilty on the sodomy charge.
