Charles Harris appeals his jury conviction of being a felon in possession of a firearm (La. R.S. 14:95.1) and simple assault (La. R.S. 14:38). He contends that the trial court erred in failing to grant his motion for a new trial and that he had ineffective assistance of counsel.
