James Cephas sued his employer, MVM, Inc., for damages, claiming the company violated its Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA) with Cephas's union when it transferred him to another position. The district court first held Cephas's claim arose under § 301 of the Labor Management Relations Act, 29 U.S.C. § 185, because § 301 completely preempts a claim for breach...
