Defendant, Carlos Jones, was charged in the circuit court of St. Clair County with one count of aggravated unlawful use of a weapon. 720 ILCS 5/24-1.6(a)(1), (a)(3)(A) (West 2000). The circuit court denied defendant's motion to suppress evidence. Following a stipulated bench trial, defendant was convicted as charged.
