Tammy L. Sperle was murdered by an inmate while working as the storekeeper at the Huron Valley Men's Facility (HVMF), a Michigan state prison. The decedent's husband, Allan J. Sperle, subsequently brought this lawsuit against the Michigan Department of Corrections (MDOC) and various individuals associated with the MDOC and the HVMF.
