Plaintiff-appellant Thyssen, Inc. ("Thyssen") contracted for a cargo of steel coils and the cargo's delivery to the United States with a Hong Kong company, Metalsrussia, on October 26, 1996. Delivery was to be completed by January 31, 1997. Metalsrussia arranged to ship the coils by subchartering the MARKOS N from Western Bulk Carriers, which had previously chartered the ship from its owner, Defendant-appellee Calypso Shipping Corp...
