Plaintiff-Appellant Providence Journal Company (the "Journal") and Defendant-Appellee Providence Newspaper Guild (the "Guild") were parties to a collective bargaining agreement. After a dispute arose over the interpretation of a clause in the agreement, the Guild filed a grievance.
