These appeals are from a judgment rendered on a jury verdict for the plaintiff Marilyn Hayes against the defendants Vaughan Chilton Medical Center, Inc., and Jeffrey Potts. Hayes sued Vaughan Chilton Medical Center and Jeffrey Potts, the hospital's administrator, alleging slander, libel, breach of contract, and the tort of outrage, based upon their submission of a letter to the Alabama Board of Nursing.
