These consolidated cases arise out of a multi-vehicular accident which occurred on November 19, 1989, on the eastbound side of Interstate 10 in Iberville Parish, Louisiana, on an elevated part of the highway over the Atchafalaya Basin approximately three miles east of the Whiskey Bay Bridge.
