Pursuant to a plea agreement with the government, defendant-appellant Henry J. Peppe pleaded guilty to a three-count indictment charging him and his codefendant, Joseph S. Mongiello, with making extortionate extensions of credit and using, and conspiring to use, extortionate means to collect and attempt to collect an extension of credit. The district court sentenced Peppe to twenty-seven months' incarceration followed by three years' supervised...
