Dalton Roger Ford was convicted in a bench trial of disorderly conduct and possession of a concealed weapon in violation of §§ 28-11 and 43-2, respectively, of the Newport News City Code. Ford contends that because he was unlawfully detained and arrested, the trial court erred by denying his motion to suppress the arresting police officer's testimony and his motions to strike the evidence as to both charges.
