William Giles, Jr. was tried and convicted in the Circuit Court of Jones County, Mississippi on a charge of capital murder. In a separate hearing, he was sentenced to death. He appeals, assigning fourteen issues as error. One such issue is whether the trial court erred when it refused to grant Giles an instruction embodying his only theory of defense.
