Missouri Pacific Railroad Co. filed a suit against Potlatch Corporation for negligence and breach of contract. The trial on the merits lasted six days. At the close of plaintiff's case, the trial court denied defendant Potlatch's motion for a directed verdict. At the close of the defendant's case, defendant renewed its motion for a directed verdict.
