Stephen DeWoody, 32, an electrician employed by Lake Charles Electric Company, was electrocuted on February 5, 1988, while working inside the Citgo Refinery near Lake Charles, Louisiana. He was survived by his widow and two young sons. Dru Ann DeWoody, individually and as natural tutrix of the minors, sued Citgo Petroleum Corporation and Fred Bruno, one of its employees, for damages for the loss of their husband and father.
