The plaintiffs, Robert and Catherine Cioffoletti, owners of a parcel of land in Ridgefield used for the mining and excavation of sand and gravel, appealed to the Superior Court after the defendant, the Ridgefield planning and zoning commission, acting as the town's inland wetlands board, granted with certain modifications and conditions the plaintiffs' application to expand their mining operation. The trial court dismissed the appeal, finding no infirmities...
