This is an appeal from an Iowa state prisoner, serving a life term, who in the admission of the State suffers from one of the most severe ailments of all custodial inmates, to-wit, chronic granulocytic leukemia. The prisoner filed a pro se 42 U.S.C. § 1983 complaint on May 6, 1985, alleging the defendants demonstrated deliberate indifference to a serious medical need by denying him a bone marrow transplant...
