Michael W. Barnes brought suit against Birmingham International Raceway, Inc. ("BIR"), the National Association for Stock Car Auto Racing, Inc. ("NASCAR"), Clayton Reuse, and Firestone Tire & Rubber Co. ("Firestone") to recover damages for injuries he sustained while participating in an automobile race.
