A police officer discharged ostensibly for failing to answer questions during an internal investigation filed this action invoking 42 U.S.C. § 1983 contending that he was in fact fired in retaliation for his exercise of his First Amendment right to free speech. The Chief of Police and other officials named as defendants appeal the district court's denial of summary judgment in their favor contending that the policeman was discharged...
