The defendant Kirby B. Smith was charged by bill of information with violation of LSA-R.S. 14:89.1, to-wit: aggravated crime against nature. On February 27, 1985, the defendant was arraigned and through retained counsel entered a plea of not guilty. On March 21, 1985 the state filed into the record the notice of its intent to introduce proof of similar acts to show guilt, knowledge, system and intent under LSA-R.S. 15:445, et seq.
