Plaintiff Mercedes Connolly ("Connolly"), a citizen of Illinois, brings this diversity action against defendant Judy Samuelson ("Samuelson"), a Kansas citizen. Connolly essentially alleges that while participating in a land tour of South Africa she was injured while crossing a stream; she sues Samuelson for negligently planning and marketing the tour package.
