OPINION

CORCORAN, Judge.

The appellant, Harold Arthur Angle (defendant), was charged with three counts of aggravated assault while armed with a deadly weapon in violation of A.R.S. §§ 13-1203(A)(2), 13-1204(A)(2) and (B). The trial judge instructed the jury with respect to these charges and also, over defendant's objection, gave instructions on the lesser included offenses of attempted aggravated assault.
