Elsie Mae Jones filed suit to recover damages from Calvin Soileau for the latter's alleged malicious prosecution of Jones on four counts of issuing worthless checks. The trial court rendered judgment in her favor and awarded her $25,000 in damages. The court of appeal reversed, finding that there was probable cause to prosecute in the original case. 435 So.2d 503
