This appeal constitutes the residuum of litigation arising from an intersection collision between a passenger car and a Metrobus on May 9, 1976. Seven separate lawsuits were filed by the parties to the accident.1 The cases were consolidated for a bifurcated trial before a jury which began on April 24, 1978.
