Page, the holder of a doctoral degree in parasitology and a former university biology professor, appeals his criminal convictions of mail fraud and of having made false claims and false statements to agencies of the United States. His sole point for reversal is that the trial court erred in approving a waiver of jury trial. Implicated are the dual Constitutional guarantees of trial by jury
