Appellant Paul Randolph Liner worked for appellee/cross-appellant J. B. Talley and Company, Inc. ("Talley") from June 29, 1975, to August 13, 1976, and again from December 20, 1976, to January 18, 1977. On January 3, 1978, Liner filed suit against Talley under the Jones Act, 46 U.S.C. § 688, alleging an injury on or about August 12, 1976, while employed by Talley, and claiming seaman's status. He also alleged a breach of defendant's warranty of seaworthiness...
