Appellants Royal Printing Company and Haythornewhite Enterprises sued appellee paper manufacturers for price fixing and other violations of Sherman Act § 1, 15 U.S.C. § 1. After preliminary discovery the district court granted appellees' summary judgment motion on the ground that appellants were not "direct purchasers" from appellees and thus were barred from suing for treble damages under the Clayton Act by Illinois Brick Co. v....
