The plaintiff brought this negligence action to recover damages for personal injuries he sustained when he fell on a sidewalk allegedly under the control of the defendants. The defendants denied the material allegations of the plaintiff's complaint and filed a special defense in which they claimed that the plaintiff's injuries were caused by his own negligence. The jury were instructed on the doctrine of comparative negligence. see General Statutes...
