These six consolidated appeals present issues arising under the Longshoremen's and Harborworkers' Compensation Act, 33 U.S.C. §§ 901 et seq., (LHWCA) relating to the prosecution by longshoremen of personal injury claims against allegedly negligent third person shipowners after having received statutory compensation benefits from their employers or the insurers of the employers.
