Appellants Darryl Gordon Hickman and Fred McArthur Head were jointly tried in the United States District Court for the Western District of Kentucky. Both defendants were found guilty of being convicted felons in possession of a sawed-off 12 gauge shotgun and of a 32 caliber revolver, in violation of 18 U.S.C.App., § 1202(a)(1).1 In addition, appellant Head was found guilty of possession of marijuana for one's...
