Appellant was convicted of murder in the first degree and the jury fixed his punishment at life imprisonment. Prior to arraignment appellant was found to be indigent and the Court appointed two outstanding trial lawyers of the Scottsboro Bar to represent him. At arraignment he pleaded not guilty. After conviction and sentence he gave notice of appeal. He was furnished a free transcript and the Court appointed two other outstanding lawyers of Scottsboro...
