The plaintiffs were the owners of real property located in the redevelopment area of the city of New London, which was taken by eminent domain proceedings instituted by the defendant. On April 29, 1965, a statement of compensation in the amount of $50,000 was filed with the clerk of the Superior Court for New London County.
