Beatrice Martin, the plaintiff below and the appellant here, fell and broke her left foot on 9 February 1968 near the intersection of Washington Street and Dawson Avenue in the City of Rockville. The accident occurred on a "dry day" when Mrs. Martin, preparing to cross Washington Street, stepped off the curb onto the curb apron which formed the gutter, and apparently caught her foot in a small depression at a point...
