On June 24, 1968, the three appellants, each a young man under 21 years of age, were arrested for violation of subdivision 1 of section 261 of the Penal Code (sexual intercourse with a female under the age of 18 years.)1 Appellants were apparently released from custody immediately and instructed to appear in municipal court June 27, 1968...
