The defendant was charged in an information in four counts with the crimes of statutory rape, incest, indecent assault, and wilfully and unlawfully causing or permitting a child under the age of sixteen years to be placed in such a situation that her health was likely to be impaired or of committing acts likely to impair the health or morals of the child, all of which crimes were alleged to have been committed upon his daughter.
