This is a suit under the Workmen's Compensation Act, LSA-R.S. 23:1021 et seq. Plaintiff Charles Henderson, 48 years old, was employed as an ordinary laborer by Gervais F. Favrot Co., Inc. On February 24, 1954, while so employed he was carrying a sack of cement weighing about 95 pounds. He slipped and twisted his back.
