On May 18, 1952, Billie Gail Stripling suffered alleged personal injuries when the automobile in which she was riding as a guest turned over into a ditch on U. S. Highway 31 between Birmingham and Cullman, Alabama. Thomas Hudson was the driver of the car at the time. Riding also in the car was Nell Nichols, who married Thomas Hudson soon after the accident.
