¶ 1 FINE, J.

Dione Wendell Haywood appeals the judgment entered on a jury verdict convicting him of battery to a law-enforcement officer, see WIS. STAT. § 940.20(2), and from the circuit court's order denying his motion for postconviction relief.1 This was his second trial on the charge. The first ended in a mistrial.
