This appeal stems from Alexander Shister's purchase of a home owned by Bipin and Ranjan Patel. Shister claims that he suffered damages when the Patels and their real estate broker, Rajul Bhagwanjee, failed to disclose that the Patels remodeled the basement without the proper permits and that there was a pending reassessment on the property which resulted in an increased property tax.
