Derick G. Vanbeek was convicted of making a bomb scare at Markesan High School — intentionally conveying a false threat "to destroy any property by the means of explosives," contrary to WIS. STAT. § 947.015 (2007-08).1 Vanbeek appeals from that portion of his judgment of conviction requiring restitution to the Markesan School District in the amount of $15,796.89 for salaries and benefits paid to teachers...
