GROSSE, J.

¶ 1 A Frye1 hearing is not required where there is no evidence involving new methods of proof or new scientific principles. Here, the fingerprint identification method used by the police is generally accepted within the scientific community. The trial court did not err in not conducting a Frye hearing and admitting the evidence. Affirmed.
