¶ 1 We are asked to decide the constitutionality of a school resource officer's warrantless post-arrest search of a high school student's locked backpack on school grounds, where the search, which revealed an air pistol, was conducted after the officer saw the student holding suspected marijuana. A trial court found J.M., a juvenile, guilty of carrying a dangerous weapon at school and possessing less than 40 grams of marijuana. He
