¶ 1 Christopher Crosby appeals a domestic violence protection order issued to protect Kourtney Scheib. He contends the trial court erred in treating this action under the Domestic Violence Protection Act (DVPA), chapter 26.50 RCW, as a special proceeding not governed by the civil rules for superior court.
