¶ 1 American Optical Corporation, Mine Safety Appliances Company, and North Safety Products USA (collectively, respirator manufacturers) appeal the superior court's denial of their summary judgment motion, arguing that they had no duty to warn Leo Macias, a retired tool worker, that he could be exposed to harmful asbestos dust while cleaning their respirators at a Seattle shipyard.
